December 2013

Dear Visitors,

I cannot believe it has been one year since I started UpperExt.com. Over the past year I learned a lot, worked hard, and enjoyed my family as I watched my 3 and 6 year-old boys grow.

Over the last year, working on UpperExt.com helped me better define who I am, where I am, Where I am heading, and Where I want to be. It is amazing how, once you start to put things in writing, those same words become more clear in your mind.

My mission has and will always be to provide high-standard Hand, Wrist, Elbow, and Shoulder care. I have and will remain faithful to an individual doctor-patient relationship, work on building a partnership with my patients to  help them make educated choices based on their individual needs.

A Nation in Motion®

I continue to put a lot of emphasis on a healthy and active life style and I make it my goal to get patients back to a better level of comfort and activity in a timely manner. Please join me promote a healthy life-style and share your stories about the impact of orthopedic care on your life.

I hope UpperExt.com is achieving the goal behind it- to help patients understand some of the common conditions of the hand and upper extremity and to highlight my approach to treating them. I also hope UpperExt.com allowed my patients some extra time to review and think about what I we have discussed during the office visit and helped them get more involved their care.

I will continue to add more valuable information, and to improve on the info already there, as well as add more illustrations, images, and links to trusted resources. Please feel free to share with family and friends, and do not hesitate to let me know what you think about it.

Have a good day and happy holidays.

Shafic Sraj, MD
